Grainger County Clean-up Event

May 28, 2018 – June 2, 2018

The Grainger County Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Grainger County Mayor’s Office and the Grainger County Sheriff’s Department to hold this year’s annual Grainger County Clean-up, started by Tony “The Trash Man” Kaufmann. By carrying on his hard work and dedication, officials hope to promote awareness in the county-wide issue with trash accumulation along roadways, creek beds, lake shores, and wooded areas. We will be holding this year’s event during the week of May 28th through June 2nd. We would also like to invite all participating volunteers to the Annual Grainger County Clean-up Picnic, which will be held at the Grainger County Park, Pavilion #2, at noon on Saturday, June 2nd. Please contact the Grainger County Parks and Recreation office at 865-828-9900, with any questions concerning the event. The Grainger County Parks and Recreation office will also be available during office hours for any volunteers needing to pick up supplies for the Clean-up such as gloves, trash bags, hand sanitizer, litter brochures, and t-shirts.
